Face Wrinkle Removal Products 101
Nothing is more devastating to the face than aging – and fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet and other aging maladies are to be expected as we grow older. Although lines and face wrinkles are usually caused by age – stress, sun exposure and dry skin are also culprits.
Women can’t fight age or genetics, however, so luckily there are many creams and treatments on the market that produce results. In fact, the fight against wrinkles has certainly seen some impressive weaponry introduced onto the scene in the past few years.
Face Wrinkle Creams
There are many popular face creams on the market today. With ranges in price and ingredients, you’re sure to find one that will help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines while staving off the formation of new ones.
Let’s look at some of the most popular:
RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream – lower price range formulation that contains retinol which is in a class of chemicals that assists in cell growth near the epidermis layer of the skin and promotes re-growth. This intensive anti-wrinkle treatment works throughout the day to reduce deep wrinkles. It is oil-free and hypoallergenic for sensitive skin – (which is a quality you should look for in any face wrinkle cream).
A bit pricier (around $60) is the Seacret Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream which tightens and freshens the skin with a mixture of Dead Sea minerals and herbs to give the skin a youthful glow. With Olibanum extract, palm oil, geranium oil, and wheat germ to assist in moisturizing, this cream is suited for most types of skin.
The Lancôme High Resolution with Fibrelastine Intensive Recovery Anti-Wrinkle Cream, 1.7-Ounces is an intensive cream that is suggested for all skin types to reduce the signs of wrinkles. The main ingredient is hyaluronic acid that promotes skin cell re-growth. This is one of the more expensive creams on the market.
While many people have a preference for certain brands, the truth of the matter is that what’s more important is applying your face wrinkle cream diligently every day. If you are on a budget, you may be pleased to know that there are several quality brands that offer free trials of face wrinkle cream. You can find a few of them here: Face Wrinkle Cream Free Trials.
Face Wrinkle Treatments
If you prefer to avoid the hassle of applying a wrinkle cream daily, there are other wrinkle treatments available – depending on your budget and time. Costing several thousands of dollars, some women have face lifts to eliminate wrinkles. Facelifts are very invasive, but can last from 5-10 years; when considering a facelift, you should be aware of all of the risks associated with the procedure, which is actually a surgical remedy.
Moderately-prices treatments such as chemical peels, dermabrasion and microdermabrasion are skin resurfacing treatments that are done in spas or cosmetic medical clinics. Most results are achieved only after several visits, and can range anywhere from $90-$200 per visit. Most spas do, however, offer package deals, so it is within your best interest to shop around before you decide.
Risks are minimal when the procedure is done by a licensed trained technician. Most that have experienced a bad microdermabrasion treatment received the treatment under less-than-hygienic conditions or were serviced by technicians who improperly used the Microdermabrasion equipment or products. Ensure that the spa or clinic you go to is properly licensed by your state and has a good reputation.
The recovery time after the above treatments is speedy, and patients usually don’t have to take time off of work or miss other engagements because of it. You can expect, however, to experience some irritation and/or swelling with this type of procedure.
Face Wrinkle Products
Fairly new to the market, you can purchase microdermabrasion kits for home use at your local pharmacy, online or at a spa for around $100. The kit comes with a cream, a microdermabrasion cloth, an applicator, and product for post-treatment. When you use the kit, only apply gentle pressure, and follow the instructions closely. You can damage your skin further if the product isn’t used properly.
Also be aware that if you are using a medication such as Accutane for the treatment of acne, you can’t use a microdermabrasion kit, or receive a treatment from a spa. You must wait at least 12 months after you are done with the medication.
